Zermatt

Description Pictures Facts
France has the Eiffel Tower, Italy the leaning tower of Pisa - and Switzerland...? The Matterhorn! At its foot lies the exclusive and traditional winter sports resort of Zermatt, where modern mountain transport systems, cosy hotels and holiday apartments, and friendly hosts await you. Zermatt is the ideal holiday destination for sports enthusiasts and for those simply looking for rest and relaxation.
Italy or Switzerland? That is the question! 62 mountain trains, cableways and lifts link the 313 km of pistes of Cervinia and Zermatt. 2 children's ski clubs introduce the very young to the world of skiing, while challenging freerider slopes, heliskiing and the Gravity Park bring joy to the wildest of winter sports fans. Do you fancy covering 12,500 m of height difference in one day without ever using the same piste, lift or cableway twice? Then the Matterhorn Ski Safari is just the thing for you - an ambitious tour for everyone fit enough to give it a go!
Spend a night in the snow in an igloo village! Choose from a romantic suite for two or a group igloo for up to 6 people and dive into the tradition of the Inuit.
As insiders have known for a long time now, nowhere has better ski huts than Zermatt! Come up and try our great food in a relaxed and cosy setting.
Unique in Switzerland - children ski free of charge up to the age of 9, and half price up to the age of 16. The ski schools provide childcare for the whole day with the children’s park and the kindergarten (indoor) from 9 am through to 3.30 pm, making skiing and playing in the snow doubly fun. Zermatt is the perfect place for unforgettable family holidays!
