As soon as the thermometer turns blue, Hafjell Alpine Centre starts producing artificial snow. The snowproduction normally starts in November- with a solid underlayer of artificial snow, the pistes will appear in perfect conditions when the snowflakes start tumbeling down!
The possibilities of unfoldment in the white landscape are of no limits. People choose Hafjell Hunderfossen in the winter because of the good and varied skiing possibilities- either you prefer downhill skiing in the alpine centre or cross country skiing in the mountains. These activities can be combined with for instance a thrilling bobsleigh ride in Lillehammer Olympic Bobsleigh- and Lugetrack, or maybe a sleigh ride with horse through the winter landscape.
Hafjell ski resort is located 180 km north of Oslo in the region of Oppland and is straightforward to get to. The quickest way here is to fly to Oslo and transfer by hire car, or utilise the more practical rail and bus combination transfer.
