The entire Portes du Soleil ski domain is equipped with a'hands free"ski pass control system .With this system skiers are offered greater comfort and rapidity thanks to an electronic microchip in a special card which can be read from a distance by special machines, even when the card is inside a pocket, automatically opening the access gates to the lift systems.

Located about 100 km from Geneva Airport, Avoriaz can either be accessed by using public transportation or car. If you decide to take the car from Geneva you need to take the A1/E25 across the boarder to France. Driving on the E25 towards Chamonix-Mont-Blanc you need to take the exit 19 labeled “Clauses-Centre, Flaine, C.R. des Douanes” once you have passed close to Bonneville and Scionzier. From there always head towards Avoriaz passing through Morzine on your way there. You should arrive after an estimated travel time of 1 hour 30 minutes.
