The park offers an intense diversity of flora and fauna and is the best place to obseve Tigers. Apart from that a large numbers of Sambar, Chital, Nilgai, Gazzelle, Boars, Mongoose, Indian Hare, Monitor Lizards and a large number of birds.The Ranthambore National Park is located in Eastern Rajasthan, where the Aravali Hill ranges and the Vindhyan plateau meet, it was once the hunting preserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur. The rivers Chambal in the South and Banas in the North bound the Ranthambore National Park. The central focus of the park are its six man made lakes and the many perennial streams that criss-cross the entire park.
