Mushrif National Park

The park is located in the southern part of Dubai, next to the suburb of Khawaneej and near to Emirates Road. The park was created in early 1980 by Dubai Municipality and was hugely expanded and refurbished in 1989. It is a sheltered dip amongst rolling sand-dune desert, with 100 ha of natural 'ghaf' Prosopis cineraria tree parkland, interspersed with scrub. The whole park is fenced to exclude grazing by camels and goats, and is mainly used for recreation by families and domestic tourists. The park centre is landscaped (grass, pathways) with a leisure complex, and a road system extends throughout the area.
