Lake Victoria

Description
Lake Victoria is the world’s second largest freshwater lake and forms the headwaters of the Nile River. It has the size of the Republic of Ireland. The lake belongs to the countries Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya. There are many islands in the lake and there exists a busy network of waterways between the trading towns and villages which lie along the shores of the lake. Fishing provides a living for many who live along the lakeside. Of course the Lake of Victoria is also a very important source of water for a large amount of people living in this hot climate.
