The Great Salt Lake and its islands provide outstanding scenery. Sunsets over the lake can be stunning. It has white beaches and turquoise water.
The salinity of the water is even much saltier than the ocean. On the Antelope island and in the lake’s shoreline the animal life is greatly varied, including Bison’s, antelope, and coyotes. The marshes, pools, sloughs and mudflats are a rich feeding ground for tens of thousands of migrating birds.
