Would you like to schedule a date with a hammerhead or a sea-lion? Then you’re right on the spot! The perfect gateway to the 'Sea of Cortez’ is La Paz, but Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo and Los Cabos are will also do the job. Get playful with the sea lions on Isla Los Islotes, this will add a lot of fun to your dive trips. Have a bit more respect for the large schools of hammerheads, as they can comprise up to 300 members. Other candidates to watch out for are whale sharks, mantas and other big fish. If you are into wreck diving, check out the ferry of 'Salvatierra', which is not too deep so can be enjoyed by novice divers alike.
