Location Descriptions
There are many exciting places of interest to visit locally. Quetta is known as the ‘fruit garden of Pakistan’. Trips may be organised to Hazaarganji Chiltan National Park to see the wild animals, Ziarat, a hill station, and Prospect Point which has stunning views of the valley below. A wonderful train journey through the Bolan Pass can be taken stopping at Kolpur to visit a bustling bazaar where little has changed over the centuries. Other bazaars include Quandhari and Liaquat where Balochi mirror-embroidery, furs and other delightful handicrafts may be found.

Airport Information
Quetta is connected by air to and from Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar. The Airport is located just seven miles from the Serena Hotel. Three major highways run through Quetta. The Karachi-Khuzdar-Quetta Highway, the Quetta-Chamman Highway and the Quetta-D.I.Khan Highway. All highways run through tribal areas. The train ride from Karachi to Quetta is very interesting as it goes through the legendary Bolan Pass. Within and around the city yellow cabs, cars, rickshaws and buses can be hired.
