The Maui Writers' Conference, held over Labor Day Weekend, is one of the most important in the world for both the publishing and film industries. Over 50 top agents and editors and 150 presenters attend, looking for new talent.

The conference features prose and screenwriting competitions and a "manuscript marketplace", where budding stars can circulate their resumés. Best-selling authors, award-winning journalists and other stars of the literary and film worlds are on hand to give lectures, consultations and workshops - a fantastic forum for teaching and advice from the best in the business.
