A "symposium" may sound academic, but the Maine Canoe Symposium in Winona Camps, Bridgton, is actually a fun-filled weekend where everyone can learn about canoeing from the experts.
Along with talks, slide presentations and workshops for children, set in beautiful and relaxing surroundings on the shore of Moose Pond, the event also has a comprehensive practical programme. This gives the opportunity to learn a wide variety of paddle, pole, campcraft and wilderness tripping skills. Everyone is welcome and no canoeing experience is necessary.
