Louisiana is the only US state that provides foreign visitors with tax-free shopping. Nearly 1000 stores, including Sears, Saks Fifth Avenue, certain specialty shops, plus the New Orleans and Baton Rouge shopping centres participate in the programme. Applications for refunds can be made at the Riverwalk mall or the New Orleans Airport.
