This annual affair at the Knights of Columbus Fairground in Lutcher offers everything you could expect from a Louisiana Christmas festival.
The lighting of around 100 impressively-stacked mammoth bonfires attracts the biggest crowds, but there are also Gumbo cook-offs, live country music, beauty pageants, competitive walks and runs, poker games, Christmas parades and plenty of opportunities to meet Santa Claus (or Papa Noel, as he is known locally).
