More than 150 of the world's top professional cyclists race take on the eight-day, 700-mile Tour Of California race.
The 2008 event kicks off with a race through the streets of Palo Alto. The remaining seven stages pass through the "host cities": San Francisco, Sausalito, Santa Rosa, Sacramento, Stockton, San Jose, Seaside, San Luis Obispo, Solvang, Santa Barbara, Santa Clarita, Modesto and Palo Alto, with the finish in Pasadena.
