Work off those extra puddings with a winter walk this Christmas holiday. The Ramblers' Association offer free guided walks all over the country for the whole family to enjoy.

The walks take place throughout England, Scotland and Wales. Many of them are themed, all take place in interesting locations and you don't need to be a Ramblers member to take part. However, if after going on a festival walk you want to join, you will receive 20% off the price of membership to the Ramblers' Association.

From the Southern Uplands, the Solway Firth and Border Country to the Western Isles, the Highlands and both the Orkneys and Shetland Isles, Scotland is a rambler's paradise, and previous festivals have included such events as hiking across Fife in readiness to see dawn on New Year's morning.

For further details, please visit the Ramblers' Association's Winter Walks website.
