The Eagle Wing Festival in Groomsport explores the historic links between Ireland and the United States through music. Previously a weekend event, from 2008 it celebrates Independence Day on 4 July.
On the day there's an open-air concert beside the Cockle Row Cottages and a fireworks display. Eagle Wing will be organising other events throughout the summer beside the cottages - information should be available at the 4 July event or from the tourist office.
The fishing village of Groomsport where the festival takes place is one of the prettiest in Ireland.
