Perched on the hills above Yalova, in true Turkish tradition, lies the resort-spa Termal. Termal is a natural hot (thermal) spring that has been famous since Roman times.
Rebuilt by the Ottoman sultans, the hot springs of Termal were favoured by Kemal Ataturk, Turkey's national hero. It features an historic Turkish bath (hamam), indoor and outdoor pools, private rooms and several hotels and restaurants.
