The Riza Cavus thermal springs, whose curative properties have been known for millennia, are located near the quiet resort of Dalyan on Turkey's Turquoise Coast. Visitors can cover themselves with a layer of mud, then soak in hot mineral water until they feel on top of the world!
With a mud and water temperature ranging from 30 to 38 degrees centigrade, and a pH of around 6.5, the hot springs are excellent for the treatment of rheumatic, dermatological and gynaecological problems, as well as neurological and physical exhaustion.
Located just a boat ride from Dalyan, where Lake Koycegiz narrows into a channel that empties into the Mediterranean, the baths also offer easy access to one of Turkey's most spectacular beaches, lztuzu. This six-kilometre golden sand beach is a breeding ground of the loggerhead sea turtle.
