Iztuzu Beach is a 5km long sandbar in Dalyan that was earmarked for development before it was recognised as one of the last nesting grounds for the endangered Loggerhead Turtle. Visiting times to the beach are restricted from May to September each year and take into account the nesting habits of the turtles. Sunbeds and shade are available and cold drinks and snacks are served throughout the day.
