Billed as the most amazing, beautiful and spectacular club in the world (or at least the Mediterranean), Halikarnas is a massive outdoor disco surrounded by pillars and palm trees.
Each night has something new and surprising in store, from dancing girls in spangly costumes to hard house, garage and techno from some of the world's leading DJs.
This somewhat over-the-top venue also boasts some of the best in lighting technology, including three big lasers and 24 robot lights, creating a non-stop visual show with the added bonus of a 25 metre-high fountain in the centre.
Outdoor clubbing is a breath of fresh air if you are used to hot, sweaty clubs. Here under the stars, some of the world's top DJs play alongside local Turkish talent to keep you dancing all night. The bars up on the terraces provide stunning views of the bay as the sun goes down (and of the lasers after dark).
The club is open every night throughout the summer (usually closing at the end of October) and there are various attractions to choose from including magic shows, foam parties, free beer evenings and ladies' nights.
Appropriately enough, the ancient city of Halikarnassus was supposedly the entertainment centre of the ancient world. People travelled from far and wide to take part in the festive events there. Remains of the city can still be seen throughout the town of Bodrum, in people's gardens and along roadsides. Strangely enough, inside the local supermarket there is a tomb dating back to this period.
