A steep hillside walk from Eyup brings you to one of the religious districts of Istanbul. The top offers great views of the area and is home to an Ottoman cemetery and a number of shrines, including the Sultan Mosque. If you get peckish, drop in at the Pierre Loti Café, named after the French novelist who frequented the area in a lovestruck state, searching for literary inspiration.
