Enjoy an extra three hours' worth of skiing as Crans-Montana's Grand Signal slope is lit up on Friday nights for the popular ski nocturne.

Although the romantic title suggests a skiing expedition in the dark, the truth is far brighter (and doubtless much safer). The piste is illuminated by large stadium-style floodlights and skiers can enjoy an extra few hours of downhill pleasure.

Without the light of the Alpine sun, temperatures for night skiing are much lower than during the day, so wear an extra sweater.

Ski nocturne begins in late November and concludes at the end of Easter.
