Stockholm's planetarium, known as Cosmonova, is one of the best in the world.
Cosmonova is situated within the Swedish Museum of Natural History and is the only Omnimax theatre in Sweden, with one of the most sophisticated planetariums in the world. Films are shown in the world's largest film format: the screen, which is in the shape of a domed hemisphere, is 11 metres high and 23 metres wide. This makes it 24 times larger than a conventional, flat movie screen. If that's not enough, there's six-channel sound to get the astronomical messages across too.
For the current screening schedule, please visit the museum's website.
