On this evening in June, a fleet of genuine old steam ships and other passenger boats leaves Stockholm from Strömkajen for a trip to the small town of Vaxholm (an hour and a half away).
This "boat parade" includes the faithful steamboats Storskär, Norrskär, Mariefred, Blidösund, Saltsjön, Drottningholm and Stockholm. There's plenty of music and entertainment at either end of the route and onboard.
