The small and tranquil Isla de Tabarca is just a short boat trip off the Alicante coast. Snorkel or take a glass-bottomed boat in the national marine park's crystal clear waters. Or just sunbathe on the charming little beach.
Once a hideaway for pirates, the spot is now home to fish restaurants, fortifications, the San Jose Castle and a small, local population.
