As the Balearic summer creeps in, thrill-seeking clubbers flock to Ibiza for the legendary Opening Parties. The big clubs, keen to outdo each other, pull every string to make their party the one to remember for the whole season.

The string of Opening Parties, spanning mid-May to late June, is when the hype really builds up and the summer seems like it won't ever end. Hotly tipped and highly recommended is Cream's opening bash at Amnesia on 12 June with Paul Van Dyk, Sasha and Annie Mac on the terrace. The following day the mighty Manumission kicks off (also at Amnesia), and the popular We Love Space gets going with a big party on 15 June.

Indie kids should make room for the opening party at the brand new Ibiza Rocks Hotel on 31 May, with British band The Enemy is confirmed as the main act.
