Dénia's ethnological museum gives us an insight into a town that enjoyed a glorious period of prosperity during the second half of the 19th century.

Graphic images and art portray the town and its customs, some of which have disappeared and some which can still be seen. Raisins play an important part in Dénia. During prosperous times the town and surrounding areas supported muscatel production; the thriving economy led to urban development and established a middle class.

The museum looks at the cultivation of vineyards and the role of the port in marketing the produce in England, Northern Europe and America.
