Cactualdea Park is a tropical garden full of cacti in San Nicolas de Tolentino, with around 1200 species of the spiny plant on display.
Cactualdea doesn't just mean prickles and spines. Arranged around an amphitheatre, the park also offers demonstrations and a chance to try out diverse activities such as livestock milking and folkloric games, mostly involving wrestling and shepherd's staffs! There are a number of fountains, caves, wine cellars where visitors can sample some of the 250 local varieties, a restaurant, a craft market and a greenhouse where the cacti are for sale.
