Just one of many diving schools in Minorca, the Blue Water Scuba club on the south-western corner of the island offers courses covering diving theory, structured sheltered and open-water sessions. For more advanced divers there are cavern, speciality and technical courses.
Located in a protected biosphere reserve, there is plenty of safe, environmentally friendly diving to be done in the island's warm, crystalline waters. Whilst the north has a rugged coastline with beaches of reddish sand and seascapes of great beauty, the southern coast has cliffs, gullies and coves of golden sand, each reflecting the diving conditions and underwater views.
