The Spanish Billabong Pro leg of the men's surfing ASP World Tour is held at Mundaka on the north coast of Spain, with US$320,000 at stake. The lush and mountainous Basque area provides the perfect setting for this tour event.
Competitive surfing is organised by the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) along a two-tier system. The highest level is the World Championship Tour (WCT), where the top men and women compete for the crown of World Champion throughout the year.
