Every August, the Kamnik Cultural House organises Kamfest, a cultural event that aims to revitalise the old medieval town centre. Also referred to as the "Festival With the View", it takes place within the ruins of an old castle located on top of Mali Grad hill.
The festival features about 25 cultural events over three weeks, ranging from children's performances to classical chamber music and rock music. Dances, video documentaries and various exhibitions are also part of the entertainment.
