Marble and Sounds is one of Serbia's most renowned cultural and artistic events. It is held annually in Arandjelovac, the town famous for its white marble. Venues include outdoor stages, the Knjaz Milos exhibition pavilion, the park of Bukovicka Banja Spa, the Prince's hall at Staro Zdanje Hotel and the Park Town Hall.
The festival features ceramic and marble scuptures, drama, music, literature, fine arts, ballet, films and folk dances. Together these disciplines provide a comprehensive review of the local arts scene and, thanks to the festival, Arandjelovac is now home to a great artistic collection. The town has also a park-museum displaying marble sculptures and an exceptional international collection of ceramic items.
