The Yeliseyevsky Gastronom is St Petersburg's equivalent to Harrod's Food Hall and is well worth a visit for the setting alone. The beautifully opulent Art Deco building is on the city's main thoroughfare and houses a variety of Russian and imported produce, including a particularly tempting selection of caviar.
