While you will find top-end designer names there, Moscow's main thoroughfare Tverskaya Ulitsa is actually a democratic jumble of Russian and international chains. Zara, Monsoon and Benetton rub shoulders with Sonia Ryikel, Escada and Tiffany. For anyone disinclined to shop there is spectacular Soviet architecture to see and it's worth a visit on any national holiday, when colossal floral displays appear as if from nowhere.
