Literally translated, Svalka means "dump" and the club is themed around this idea of a wasteground. The chillout room is littered with derelict foreign cars and TV sets playing MTV. A favourite with students, Monday through Wednesday features industrial techno DJs, with live music concerts at the weekend.
There are even strippers on Thursday evening/Friday morning and Svalka has been renowned for Russian musicians forming tribute bands in honour of the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, AC/DC, The Offspring, Depeche Mode, The Beatles and KISS.
If you visit, try out the intriguingly-named cocktails: "Knocked-down Lady" and "Brains Out"!
