The Gulbenkian Choir presents its 2008/2009 season in the Large Auditorium at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's headquarters in Lisbon. The Gulbenkian Orchestra accompanies them and many concerts feature internationally renowned conductors and soloists.
The choir was founded in 1964 and today boasts around 100 members, with a repertoire that ranges from a few people singing a cappella to larger collaborations with the Gulbenkian Orchestra. Michel Corboz has been the choral director since 1969 and is assisted by Fernando Eldoro and Jorge Matta.
Concerts usually take place on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. For a full programme, please visit the foundation website.
