The towns of Leiria and Marinha Grande host the Alta Estremadura Jazz Festival, with a top line-up of national and international musicians.
The 2008 line-up includes the Tora Tora Big Band, Adam Rogers Quartet, Jeffrey Davis Quartet, Laurent Felipe, Bruno Santos and Trio Angular, and Jacinta Quinteto.
