Baltic Sail is a five-week sailors' rally held in Halmstad, Karlskrona, Rostock, Gdansk, Klaipeda and Travemünde. When it arrives in Gdansk Marina it becomes Sail Gdansk, with Mayor Cup Regattas, dragon boat races and folk music event Neptune Chants Festival.
The shanty festival (in Polish Szanty Pod Zurawiem) was first held when the Tall Ship Race visited Gdansk in 2000; it now coincides with the first two days of Sail Gdansk.
