On Saturday evenings during the summer Warsaw's Old Town square stages the Jazz in the Old Town Festival, a series of open-air concerts by renowned international jazz artists.

Since its launch in 1995, the festival has become one of the most popular cultural events in the capital and one of the top jazz festivals in Poland. Up to 4000 people gather for each concert.

In 2008, the event opens with a performance by the Dino Saluzzi Group on 5 July. Other highlights include concerts by the Benni Chawes Quintet, Archie Shepp Quartet and the Chico Freeman & Barbara Dennerlein Group.
