Warsaw's Street Art Festival is held in the Old Town and Agrykola and Pole Mokotowskie Parks. The event, with its installations and workshops, started in 1993 as a forum for artists who couldn't find a place in the city's galleries.
Even today, the festival is still tinged by a healthy revolt against popular culture. The installations, happenings and performances play with elements of the city's architecture and infrastructure, using tunnels, bus and tram stops, subway stations and trade passages, becoming a constant element of the landscape and encouraging passers-by to take an active part in different forms of art.
Please visit the festival website for full programme details.
