Titano Festival in Vinstra is the largest gammaldans (old dance) festival of its kind in the country, and also hosts the Norwegian Championships.

Among over 10,000 regular participants every year are some of the foremost performers of folk music in the country. Irish folk music has featured more prominently in recent years, as has cajun music, so expect some mingling of styles, maybe even a bit of weird cross-fertilisation.

Gammaldans is a collective name for a number of fairly free-form dancing styles built on traditional town dances from pre-industrial times.
