The streets and a multitude of venues fill with the sound of jazz in all its guises during the annual Oslo Jazz Festival.
More than 100 performances cover the full spectrum of the genre, from its origins to its most modern contemporary expressions. Many international artists are involved, as well as the best Scandinavian and Norwegian performers.
Highlights of the 2008 line-up include Diana Krall, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Stacey Kent, Paul Bley - solo, The Ravi Coltrane Quartet and Tortoise.
