Oslo's annual Films from the South Festival presents a selection of around 130 features, documentaries and shorts from Asia, Africa and Latin America, which are screened at various venues including Vika Cinema, the Nobel Peace Center and the Cinematheque.
Throughout the event there are opportunities to meet the filmmakers at organised, informal chat sessions, to attend seminars and visit accompanying exhibitions. Three prizes are awarded - the Audience Award, the Fipresci Award and the Silver Mirror. Further details are available on the festival website.
