Harstad's Festival of North Norway is the biggest and most important arts festival in the land of the midnight sun, offering a plethora of cultural events every summer.
Primarily a forum designed to showcase northern cultural life in all its guises, the event also aims to foster new ideas and encourage experimentation.
This is the only cultural festival in Norway to provide fledging artists with the opportunity to make their concert debuts. Young talents featured in previous years have been active within every branch of music, from classical to jazz.
