The Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art in Oslo was created by some of Norway's leading architects and designers, and opened in 1993 to showcase post-Second World War art.
The changing exhibits are often drawn from Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art's permanent collection, which includes works by Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, Nan Goldin, Damien Hirst and Gerhard Richter. Less familiar Norwegians including Arne Ekeland, Knut Rose and Bjørn Carlsen.
