The annual Flower Parade, the climax of the corso festival week in Vollenhoeve Overijssel, is a grand spectacle that attracts around 50,000 spectators every year.
Countless floats decorated with dahlias parade through the town centre both in the afternoon and in the evening. Accompanied by marching bands and dancing children, each float represents a different allegorical figure. Children can enjoy the morning kiddy parade, while boisterous fireworks and musical celebrations mark the end of the evening version.
Tickets are required if you wish to accompany the floats on their route through the city. These can be purchased on the day of the event, and grant free access to the musical entertainment in the evening.
