Scheveningen Beach in the Hague is a popular seaside resort that attracts many visitors to enjoy its long stretches of golden sand.

Scheveningen has drawn people to the North Sea coast for years. Tourists come from all over Europe, especially Germany. The beach has a pier with a restaurant, a casino and a bungy jumping tower at the end. The harbour, filled with boats, is still used for fishing and also appeals to tourists.

Other attractions include the Sea Life Museum, the Beelden Aan Zee Museum and a full annual calendar of events that take place on the beach and in the harbour. Highlights include the Scheveningen Flag Day each June, which celebrates the first big catches of herring, the winter swim each New Year's Day, the Sand Sculpture Festival, the North Sea Regatta, the Scheveningen Kite Festival and the International Firework Festival.

After a busy day enjoying the beach and surf, be sure to enjoy a drink on one of the many terraces and watch the sun setting over the sea.
