This important art gallery - housed in a beautiful 18th-century palace - is the place to decipher the mysteries and the symbols behind Hieronymus Bosch's creations on canvas. Visitors can also discover other famous painters of the area, such as Pieter Breughel with his mouthwatering banquet scenes and Vincent Van Gogh, who took his early inspiration from the surrounding landscape.
The collection includes more than 30,000 objects covering all aspects of history, daily life and religion in the area.
The main four sections are: The World Until Bosch, From Breughel to Van Gogh, The Catholic Renaissance and De Gruyter.
Modern art lovers are also well catered for, with a good permanent collection and regular temporary exhibitions.
