Designed to help jump-start careers, the Dutch Association of Insurers Photography Prize, at The Hague Museum of Photography, is open to all photography students. The juried competition awards a total of €10,000 in prize money every year.
Divided into two categories, one open only to final year students, all 2008 entries must adhere to the theme "A Wonderful Accident".
Winners are picked by an independent jury of experts which includes Hripsimé Visser, curator of photography at the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. They are announced at the end of March during a lavish ceremony at the Hague Musuem of Photography, and 50 of the best entries are then exhibited throughout April.
