Ensenada hosts a popular annual festival to celebrate the new wine harvest. Connoisseurs and enthusiasts take part in a plethora of events held in honour of Baja California's favourite liquid.
The events take place all over town and vary from conferences to food and wine fairs. Among the 2007 highlights were a wine and lobster lunch at a vineyard, a gala dinner and wine auction, concerts serving wine and cheese and a paella-cooking contest with traditional music and dance.
